It has been a long time since I posted on here. After kicking around from one interest to another, for the last year, I have been doing prep work on a major graphic novel project! I'm told that it's important to keep up a social media presence for a project like this. Two problems with that. One is that I suck at social media. The other is...there's not a lot to actually show, right now. Not ready to give away too much about the characters and their world yet. I have done some preliminary concept sketches and character sketches, but they are mostly not pretty enough that I want to show them off. I spent months learning to use Clip Studio, because I wanted the cool cartooning features, and because I was annoyed at Corel Painter. (Now I'm annoyed at Clip Studio, but probably not terminally.) Today, July 5th, 2014, I drew the last page of Aji's Quest! The first page was drawn August 4, 2012. If you don't count my lengthy sabbaticals, it took almost two years to tell this story! (Probably closer to one year of steady work.) It's kind of sad to see the project finished, though I look forward to the RPG illustration job I have lined up, and am long overdue to finish my sequel to Witches of Castle Crabapple. I am not completely ruling out the chance of a sequel to Aji's Quest! :D  In any case, I plan to put a paper version in print at some point when I have time to draw a few extras for it.

Well, I burned out a bit on Aji and took a long break.  I am trying to get back to it...I've been having a wonderful virtual vacation playing Adventurequest Worlds.  Unfortunately I'm finding it a little too addictive. :D  Still, expect to get back and finish Aji's Quest fairly soon, as long as no more catastrophes and deadlines rear their ugly heads.  It was a stressful end of the old year and beginning of the new.
