An Elephant for Tarlant Pg 18 by inkwolf An Elephant for Tarlant Pg 18 by inkwolf
I like Soreto. She's intelligent, sweet, loving, kind, and supportive, and yet has all the underpinnings of a major badass. I read three chapters of the manga adaptation, and sadly, that was the one aspect of her personality they decided to one-dimensionalize her to. I suppose they heard from too many people that the anime was too intellectual for general audiences, so they made the manga suitable for developmentally disabled ten-year-olds, and poor, sweet Soreto became a busty, bone-breaking byatch-queen...

I do sorta wonder how the rest of the manga went on...

Yeah, it's pretty bad, though. Really bad. :D I could only find three chapters translated to download, and I'm sort of glad I never read more.

Oh no that makes me sad!! :( FC is such a beautiful series.. why does it have to have a bad manga? Emotears. I read that they really screwed up Soreto's character in the manga and that made me livid. I loved her character. I'd like to read it but I am afraid that it might make me too mad. I wanted the series to continue but not if its not as awesome as the anime was. :/

You're right about it, how come audiences can't stand intellectual stuff anymore? is not like watching an online advanced physics class anyway...

I'm so glad someone came to recue them! :P even tought...they are boys...shouldn't they defend themselves? (jk)

Aw, some people just aren't fighters. Hasmodai pretty much curled up every time the Enma appeared. And Tarlant was completely outrun and overpowered by Thoma and needed Wonder to save him. Agi, Hesma and Soreto did most of the successful butt-kicking in the anime. (Apart from Thoma, of course.)

We still love 'em, though. Nothing wrong with having a gentle nature.

YES!!!!!

Soreto is my second favourite character in FC XD
And I too, dislike her manga version. I was reading it and like, "is this targeting some retarded fanboys or what?"

I hated Thoma in the manga, too--annoying, trash-talking little twerp spouting garbage about the pride of manhood and whatnot. :D

And it really annoyed me that Helga was no longer the artist, she just wanted to get to someone else's painting.

And Tarlant! He was just a whiny minion. All his boyish charm and loyalty were gone.

Sigh...I'm kind of glad that the person scanlating it didn't do the whole manga. I shudder to think what Agi, Hasmodai, Hesma, Mel/Gherta and Palza might have become.

I didn't even mention Tarlant's Yu-gi-oh hair...
